Electrical installation in Irvine covers new circuits, extra sockets, outdoor power and lighting for homes and businesses. Every installation is planned with you, then tested and certified, and the quote is free.
Every new circuit adds load to your consumer unit and incoming supply. Before quoting, we check the board has space and the right protection, that the earthing is up to standard, and that the main fuse can handle what you're adding. If not, we explain what's needed.
Outside sockets make it easy to run a pressure washer, lawnmower or garden lights without trailing leads through a window. They need a weatherproof enclosure, RCD protection and cable that's protected along its route, and we fit them where they're easy to reach.
Moving a socket after the walls are decorated is messy, so we agree positions before any cable goes in. Think about where furniture, TVs, desks and beds will sit, and where you charge phones, so the sockets end up where you actually use them.
We visit to look at the space, the existing wiring and the consumer unit, and talk through what you want to add. The free quote then lists the circuits, sockets and fittings involved, with any work needed to the board or earthing set out separately.
On the day, we run the new cables along the agreed routes, connect them to the board and fit the accessories. Each new circuit is tested before it's switched on, and you receive an Electrical Installation Certificate or a Minor Works Certificate, depending on the size of the job.
Tell us what the problem is or what you'd like done. We aim to respond the same day.
We look at the job and give you a free quote, with no obligation and no call-out charge.
We carry out the work, test everything we've worked on and leave you the right certificate for the job.
We check it when we visit. A board needs a spare way, suitable RCD protection and sound earthing before a new circuit can be added safely. Older boards often lack one of these, and if so, we'll explain whether you need an upgrade or a full replacement.
Yes. Outdoor sockets are one of the most common small installations. We fit a weatherproof socket on the wall where it's most useful, protect the cable along its route and connect it to an RCD-protected circuit, so it's safe to use in wet weather.
Not for the whole job, but someone needs to let us in, agree the final positions at the start and see how everything works at the end. If you're out at work, we can book an early or evening slot within our 5am to 11pm hours.
Most electrical work in an existing home doesn't need its own building warrant in Scotland, but it must still meet the building standards and the wiring regulations. Where the electrics are part of a bigger project, such as an extension, they're covered by that project's warrant.
